* Interesting story - after 288 had already been chosen by the Judges for
the Amaze Award, they continued to amaze everyone as in the semifinals, one
of the members of the opposing team failed to but the crystal into his
team's robot. It sat still during autonomous, once everyone realized what
had happened, team 288 called the FTA - Sean O'Grady aside and indicated
that they didn't want to win the deciding match this way and requested that
he place the crystal in the robot, since a student cannot touch the robot
once the match has begun. Anyway Team 288 lost to the eventual alliance
winners but only because of their gracious professionalism. |
