It's Back to School so FIRST programs must be gearing up for their seasons.  We are currently focused on our FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) programs which run in the fall.  FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and Junior FIRST LEGO League (JrFLL) programs run in the spring.

FIRST LEGO League of Eastern Missouri

  • National registration is open until the end of September (or when field kits run out)
  • Each team must have 2 adults complete the background check.
  • Field kits cannot be ordered until the background checks complete.
  • US FIRST will release all the FLL Challenge info for World Class on August 26th at 11 am Central time.  All the info will be at their website www.firstlegoleague.org/challenge/2014fllworldclass
  • The local event schedule and links are all listed below.
  • Especially note the FLL Coach Training event on Sept. 6th.  More info here.

FIRST Tech Challenge of Missouri

  • National registration is currently open.
  • Rookie team grants are avaialable from US FIRST and Missouri FIRST.  See news in next panel.
  • Each team must have 2 adults complete the background check.
  • Team size is limited to 15 students (NEW).
  • US FIRST will release the FTC Game on September 6th.  
  • We will be hosting live kickoffs in St. Louis, Kansas City, Cape Girardeau and Camdenton on Sept. 6th to give you an up-close view of the field and a free field element so you can start design work right away.  Pre-registration requested, click here.

Thinking of starting an FTC Team? Grants are available NOW!

US FIRST is offering 725 need based grants for rookie teams to waive the FTC registration fee of $275.  Info and form at usfirst.submittable.com/submit/d96875b5-cf8b-4c07-94d7-ec885baee35e
